John Cena’s 2nd try at the action genre. It’s a film that only WWE fans can appreciate. It’s just like wrestling, it has bad acting, bad stunts, and an unbelievable story. Even with a big budget and some big names behind the scenes, its still pretty bad.
Danny Fisher, a New Orleans cop, makes the arrest of his career when he captures a high profile arms dealer, but, the bad guys girlfriend gets killed during the chase. A short time later the bad guy finds his way out of jail and after kidnapping his wife and burning down his house, then he wants revenge. He sets out to punish Danny with 12 grueling tasks (12 rounds) to get his wife back. Each round steps up the danger and the action, but of course our hero comes through with flying colors every time (not even a scratch). The movie is really too long for this type of action flick (maybe it should have been 10 rounds)and with bad acting it seems really long. All credit to John Cena, he’s doing the best he can. With a sensible action movie and some decent directing he could be alright. Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) turned out ok after all. No, it’s not what-to-watch.
